2010 Art Talks
Annually presented by the Women’s Art Board of Rockford Art Museum, this three-part series features lectures that relate to current exhibitions by notable artists and art educators. Held at noon in the theater at Riverfront Museum Park for the Arts and Sciences, which houses RAM, this year’s series offers a fresh take on the Rockford Midwestern Biennial and Alchemy and Image.
February 12 | Robin McCauley
Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
McCauley is a Rockford native who recently returned from the West Coast after teaching at UCLA, Cal State, Loyola Marymount, and working with LA Louver Gallery. An exhibiting artist in the 2010 Rockford Midwestern, she is the daughter of artists Marlene and Robert McCauley.

March 12 | Dave Menard
Confessions of an Inkslinger
Dave Menard is a local printmaker who has worked with Christo and Ed Paschke among others. He currently teaches painting, drawing, photography and printmaking at Rockford College. Menard was an exhibiting artist in the 2008 Rockford Midwestern.
April 16 | Fred Stonehouse
Alchemy and Image
Fred Stonehouse is a Wisconsin painter who has made significant inroads into the art scenes of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. He is featured with T.L. Solien and John Wilde in Alchemy and Image, which opens May 7 at RAM.
All Art Talks Lectures will be presented at noon in the theater inside Riverfront Museum Park, 711 N. Main Street., Rockford
