2014 ART TALKS LECTURE SERIES

Annually presented by Women's Art Board, this three-part series of lectures takes place at noon on the second Friday of February, March and April in the theater at Riverfront Museum Park, which houses RAM, at 711 N. Main St., Rockford.

FEBRUARY 14
CARRIE JOHNSON BREITBACH & SARAH BURSLEY McNAMARA
Breitbach, RAM Curator, and McNamara, RAM Community Relations, give an intimate look behind the scenes of researching and writing RAM 100: Rockford Art Museum, 1913-2013, the commemorative centennial book on the history of the museum and its collection.

KEELAN McMORROW

Expect a lively lecture from this native son and former RAM Artist-in-Residence, a self-taught artist known for his striking work with figurative painting that suggests an old soul.

APRIL 11
LYNN FISCHER-CARLSON

Dive into the symbolism on display in current exhibition Modern Metaphors with local art professor Fischer-Carlson of Rock Valley College who also serves as a community representative on the RAM Collection / Exhibitions Committee
