RAM Collection featured in new exhibition at University Club of Chicago

The Rockford Art Museum Collection is featured in a new long-term exhibition, Tiger, Calf, Bird, at the University Club of Chicago in downtown Chicago. 


The Rockford Art Museum Collection is featured in a new long-term exhibition, Tiger, Calf, Bird, at the University Club of Chicago in downtown Chicago. 

Several paintings, prints, drawings, photographs and mixed media pieces are on view, including work by Thornton Dial, Lonnie Holley, Thomas Hart Benton, Jacob Lawrence, Martyl, Benjamin Perkins, Jason Salavon, Mose Tolliver, Nick Tomasic, Geoff Winningham—and Jacqueline Moses, concurrently exhibiting in Rockford Art Museum’s new exhibition, Dwellings (through Jan. 27 at RAM, 711 N. Main St., Rockford). 

During the opening festivities for this creative collaboration, Rockford Art Museum Curator Carrie Johnson and University Club Director of Collections George William Price gave a luncheon lecture on the exhibition to Club members and guests. Tiger, Calf, Bird opened Nov. 8 and will remain on view at the University Club of Chicago through 2019.
