SUMMER CLASSES FOR TEENS AND ADULTS
Introduction to Oils
Saturday, 9 am-4 pm

The classic medium of oil painting possesses unique characteristics that can sometimes be intimidating to the aspiring artist. Attend this one-day seminar to begin working in this new medium. Past students have realized amazing results, while overcoming hesitations of working with oils.

Life Drawing Studio

Wednesdays, 6-9 pm

This is an uninstructed and self-directed drawing class. Registered participants will draw from a model in each session for this figure drawing workshop. Easels are provided. No other supplies are provided. Participants may register for multiple sessions.

Beginning Watercolor

Tuesdays, 6-8 pm

Students will learn how to handle watercolor and practice basic textural techniques. As the class progresses, we will work together on elements used in landscape paintings. For the first class, please bring a full 22” x 30” sheet of watercolor paper, a pencil and a yardstick. Art of the Portrait

Saturdays, 10:30 am-12:30 pm

This beginning portrait class introduces students to basic facial proportions. Students work from photos and live models to strengthen skills using pastels and pencil. Supplies are included.

Clayworks for Adults and Teens

Mondays, 6:30-8:30 pm

Working with clay allows students to express creativity using several handbuilding techniques are discussed in this terrific class. You will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of decorating and glazing methods, as well. Bring a fork, kitchen knife and towel to class. All other supplies included.

Exploring Photography

Tuesdays, 6-9 pm

Learn the art and science of black and white photography using a 35mm camera to its full potential while you explore beginning darkroom techniques. Students must bring their own 35mm manual camera and black and white film. All paper and chemicals will be provided.

Intermediate Photography

Mondays, 6-8 pm

Take beginning darkroom skills to the next level. Learn advanced techniques to enhance you photographs including toning, burning and dodging. Students must bring their own 35mm manual camera and black and white film. All paper and chemicals are provided.
