Kids & Family

No matter what brings you to RAM, we have a number of kids and family activities that will engage all ages in learning about art and start building the basics of art appreciation.

Teens

Classes, exhibition related programming, internship opportunities and art career events all happen at RAM. High school students can visit and view featured and permanent collection exhibitions.

College

RAM provides endless opportunities for students in the region to continue learning about art outside of the classroom or studio. Primary object studies can enhance any curriculum, while internship opportunities provide career experience.

Adults
A visit to RAM by an adult can be just as comprehensive as it can be for a child. With five focus areas of our permanent collection always on display, as well as a featured exhibition, there is no shortage of artwork to view and learn about.

Seniors

Tour activities and outreach programs, like START, provide seniors in the Rockford region opportunities to continue to lifelong learning about art.

Teachers

Whether planning field trips, researching extension activities, learning about enrichment events or continuing education opportunities, our new teacher portion of this site provides a vast array of information and opportunities for students and teachers to experience RAM.

Field Trip Programs

A number of collaborative and interdisciplinary visits to RAM exist for groups wanting to visit Riverfront Museum Park. We also structure individualized visits based on curriculum needs.

Tours

No matter what group you are affiliated with, consider the last time you visited RAM and if it hasn't been for a while, know that we can customize tours and visits to accommodate a variety of interests.

Classes/Lectures
Whether it’s exhibition specific or art related in general, RAM offers a number of classes and lectures throughout the year on all sorts of topics. Take a look and see if there’s something of interest happening soon.

We are always interested in getting feedback on programs or ideas for new RAM educational programming.
