Rockford Art Museum is one of several organizations throughout the region that offers classes each semester through a partnership with Rock Valley College's Community & Continuing Education (CCE), a program designed by RVC to offer non-credit courses that help students of any age learn a new hobby or skill, enjoy leisure and recreational activities, and benefit from personal enrichment. This course is an introduction to a variety of black and white media and concepts of representational and design drawing. Emphasis is on object representation from life, spatial illusion, and form. The course explores subjects such as: contour line, gesture drawing, sketching, value, still life studies, design drawing. single object studies, still life, value/gradation, and linear perspective.
