2010 Rockford Midwestern | January 22 - April 25, 2010
The Rockford Midwestern is a biennial juried exhibition that originated as an annual showcase for local artists. 2010 marks the 71st presentation of this regional show that draws the best works from artists from a nine-state region. Artists residing in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin are eligible. With this exhibition, Rockford Art Museum shows its commitment to presenting the breadth and depth of contemporary art in the Midwest.
About the Juror | Tory Folliard
Tory Folliard, an art dealer and collector for over 25 years, is the founder of the Tory Folliard Gallery in Milwaukee. Established in 1988, the gallery's focus is contemporary painting, sculpture and photography by established and emerging Midwest artists. In addition to staging monthly exhibits in the Milwaukee gallery, she regularly exhibits at international contemporary art fairs. Prior to founding the gallery, Tory Folliard was an active volunteer and docent at the Milwaukee Art Museum. She is a native of Chicago and graduate of the University of Michigan.
